Toronto AI Startup Secures $120M for Supply Chain Optimization
| Elena Vance

Vectrix, a Toronto-based artificial intelligence company specializing in supply chain logistics, has closed a $120 million Series C funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from OMERS Ventures and BDC Capital. The company's platform uses machine learning to predict supply chain disruptions and optimize routing for freight and logistics companies...

Founded in 2022 by University of Toronto graduates Dr. Anika Patel and James Liu, Vectrix has grown from a research project to a company serving over 200 enterprise clients across North America. The platform processes more than 50 million data points daily, including weather patterns, geopolitical events, port congestion data, and real-time freight pricing.

"Supply chains are the circulatory system of the global economy, and they're operating on decades-old infrastructure," said Dr. Patel. "We're building the intelligence layer that makes them adaptive and resilient."

The funding will be used to expand Vectrix's engineering team, open offices in Chicago and Vancouver, and develop new predictive models for agricultural and energy supply chains.
